My Self-portrait

A self-portrait reflects how you think of yourself, recording the things you like and what you wish viewers to perceive you.

Bridging Reality and Fantasy

I have been considering using cheap materials to do work for a while. By drawing, I could add extra elements on transparent films and overlap them as layers.

The process also follows the philosophy I have applied in my other works, adopting an abstract approach into a physical one.

Also, in this way, unexpected outcomes are always surprising and represent the quality I would like to express in the work.

  • clear wrapping films

  • acrylic paints

  • oil ink paint markers

Overlapping and wrapping

The way to discover the truth about this life is to discover yourself. Say to yourself, what do I like and what do I want? Find out exactly what you want in life. Ask your mind for inspiration about everything.

To progress in life you must give up the things that you do not like. Give up doing the things that you do not like to do. You must find the things that you do like- the things that are acceptable to your mind.

Happiness is being on the beam with life - to feel the pull of life.

-Agnes Martin

To everything there is a season, and a time for every purpose under the heaven.

– Ecclesiastes 3
