A Rain Prevention Shield
I made the prototype for my back balcony. Due to the regulation of community administration, no extra extruding fences or shield are permitted to equipped on the apartment, therefore, sometimes it rains into the balcony, on clothing hanging there to dry. So I started to consider whether I could design with cheap materials at hand to make something for my balcony.
Practicality
and
Beauty
The first requirement is practical but beautiful. In many cases in Taiwan, the two ideas usually contradicts each other. However, I did believe the philosophy that everything can be beautiful as long as it is arranged and designed properly.
Flexible and Cheap
In order to be easily removed or equipped, I thought it should be flexible and easy to be folded to be stored. Also, as it is not possible to place a piece of firm shield on the location, something soft and flexible is better in my consideration. I used the PP board again, to try to reveal the beauty of it, to see if I can present it in a beautiful appearance.
